A Roma fan was stabbed last night, when there were also clashes between fans and with the police, after the Italian Cup derby in which Lazio won (1-0) and qualified for the semifinals of the competition.

Already before the match, considered high risk, incidents were recorded, although the tension between the fans increased after the final whistle, with fans of both teams facing each other in the vicinity of the Olympic Stadium, according to local media.

Shortly after, a group of Lazio fans, who had their faces covered and were armed with sticks, entered a pub in the nearby Prati neighborhood that usually hosts Romanist followers and, after destroying the furniture, they stabbed a Roma fan in the abdomen.

The man, about 30 years old, was hospitalized in a serious state and is in intensive care, although his life is not in danger after the attack, which is being investigated by the police, according to the same sources.

That was not the only incident of the night because, in addition, a group of about 200 Roma fans tried to attack the followers of Lazio who were in the Ponte Milvio area of the Italian capital and then the police intervened, who received the impact of all kinds of objects, from firecrackers to stones and bottles.

The agents managed to disperse the group after charging the fans, three of whom were arrested.

Already before the meeting, moments of tension were recorded, when a group of Lazio fans made the fascist salute, in the middle of the enormous controversy unleashed because that same gesture in a neo-fascist rally last Sunday in Rome.

On Sunday night, hundreds of ‘black shirts’ gathered in Rome to commemorate the massacre of ‘Acca Larentia’, in which three young militants of the post-fascist Italian Social Movement (MSI) were killed in 1978, a formation in which the prime minister, the far-right Giorgia Meloni, was assassinated.

At the moment, the police have already identified more than 100 people and denounced 5 of them for making fascist greetings at that demonstration.
