It’s official: Jadon Sancho returns to Borussia Dortmund, which confirmed it this Thursday. Manchester United and the Signal Iduna Park club reached an agreement for the English winger to return to Borussia Dortmund two and a half years after his departure, in this case on loan and with no purchase option.
Jadon Sancho will wear the Borussia Dortmund shirt again after leaving through the back door of Manchester United, for which he signed in 2021 from the German team. This same Thursday he finished completing the medical check-up and signed.
Borussia Dortmund will pay part of Jadon Sancho’s salary plus 4 million euros in loan expenses. Manchester United will pay about 116,000 euros per week of the 337,000 that the extreme receives.
The 23-year-old English international, whom Erik ten Hag once removed from the first team of Old Trafford, dissatisfied with his performance and lack of discipline, signed for Manchester United in July 2021 from Borussia Dortmund for 85 million euros. A top signing but that today was not part of the plans of the coach of the Old Trafford team. Sancho will now try to rewind his career in his old club.
